Platinum-plated Niobium Mesh Anode
Pt

Active electrochemical surface

A continuous platinum layer supports stable charge transfer without the mass and cost of a solid-platinum electrode. Thickness and coverage are matched to the operating load.

Nb

Corrosion-resistant structural support

Niobium provides greater anodic breakdown margin and lower electrical resistance than titanium. The open mesh form supports electrolyte exchange and distributed active area.

Designed for demanding electrochemical duty.

Higher anodic margin

A stronger substrate option where titanium passivation or breakdown is a concern.

High-current capability

Reference designs can be evaluated up to 100 A/dm2, subject to chemistry and geometry.

Controlled low-fluoride duty

A candidate for selected low-fluoride baths after the complete electrolyte is reviewed.

Replatinizable structure

Serviceable niobium structures can be assessed for stripping and replatinizing.

Pt/Nb or Pt/Ti?

Choose Pt/Nb for evaluation when the process combines elevated anodic potential, high current density, a strongly acidic bath or controlled low-fluoride content. Niobium offers more substrate margin where titanium passivation or breakdown is a concern.

Choose Pt/Ti for evaluation when the electrolyte is fluoride-free and the electrical duty remains within titanium's compatible window. It is generally the more economical substrate where niobium's additional capability is not required.

Reference specification.

These are project starting points, not universal operating limits. Final values are confirmed against the full bath and duty cycle.
